Winter Skills Clinics
Defensive Exposure Clinic – Infield and Outfield Instruction Only (No pitching or catching instruction)
December 11, 2011
Time: 9:30-12:00PM
Ages: 2013-2016 Graduates (8th-11th graders)
Cost: $65 – Open to the first 35 to register and complete payment
(All players must bring their own glove, helmet and cleats for the clinic – helmet will be used for baserunners in defensive situations)
Location: St. Edward’s University – Diane Daniels Softball Field
Come join Head Coach, Lindsay Gardner, and Assistant Coaches, Meghan Mullin and Robert Taylor, to learn the fundamental and advanced skills of infielders and outfielders that are taught at the college level. This 2 ½ hour defensive session will be filled with drills that will teach you different throwing techniques, better angles to the ball, communication, and proper footwork and receiving drills. You will also be able to work as a team to work out of different defensive situations. Don’t miss out on your chance to showcase your talent at the Hilltopper softball field!
Offensive Exposure Clinic – Baserunning, Bunting, Slapping and Hitting Instruction
Ages: 2013-2016 Graduates (8th-11th graders)

Time: 1:00-4:00PM
Cost: $65 – Open to the first 35 to register and complete payment
(All players bust bring their own bat, helmet, cleats and non-cleated shoes to use in the cages)
Location – St. Edward’s University – Diane Daniels Softball Field
This 3 hour offensive clinic will provide instruction on baserunning techniques, short game strategies and the fundamentals of hitting. This clinic will be led by St. Edward’s head softball coach, Lindsay Gardner, and assistant coaches, Meghan Mullin and Robert Taylor. The first part of the clinic will stress the importance of being able to move runners with bunts, slapping and hit-and-runs. The later portion will include hitting for power and situational hitting. Advanced Pitching Clinic with Cat Osterman
Ages: 2013-2016 Graduates (8th-11th graders)

Time 12:00-2:30pm
Cost: $90 – Open to the first 15 players to register and complete payment
(All pitchers must provide their own catcher for the entire clinic)
Location: St. Edward’s University – Alumni Gym - **Please bring non-cleated shoes for the clinic
This clinic will allow pitchers to work with St. Edward’s assistant softball coach, who is a 2-time Olympic Medalist and former UT All-American pitcher, Cat Osterman, and former University of Houston All-Conference and NPF pitcher, Jamie Falco, on pitch specific drills in increase speed and spin. With only room for 15 pitchers, you will be get ample one-on-one time to develop and showcase your talent.
